Poem: Birthday Flowers
Bright, budding beautiful bouquet greets me at my door.
The yellow shines and turns my eyes light.
Their heavy stems matches my heart.
Their fullness matches my smile.
One by one I place the sun in a vase that can't contain its rays
How dare I try to manipulate God's creation and question what she brought me.
Feeling adorn and torn, I step into 25.
